At the core of this laptop is an Intel Core 7 240H processor from Intel’s Series 2 architecture. Its 10 cores — 6 performance cores and 4 efficient cores — handle the heavy lifting in games while the efficient cores manage background tasks without draining the battery unnecessarily. Turbo Boost pushes the performance cores up to 5.2 GHz when the game demands it, and the chip is backed by 24 MB of L3 cache to keep data close at hand.

The graphics card is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8 GB of GDDR7 dedicated memory. RTX technology supports ray tracing and AI-accelerated rendering, so visually demanding games can look their best. For lighter tasks, the laptop also has Intel integrated graphics built into the processor, which the system can switch to automatically.

A Display That Keeps Up

The 15.6-inch IPS panel runs at a native 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution with a 144 Hz refresh rate. In practice, that means smoother motion in fast-paced games compared to a standard 60 Hz screen — less blur and less ghosting when things move quickly. The anti-glare coating reduces reflections, and the Micro-Edge bezel keeps the frame slim so more of the lid is display. Brightness reaches 300 cd/m².

The display is flicker-free, using DC dimming rather than pulse-width modulation to control brightness. That reduces eye strain during long gaming sessions.

Memory and Storage

The laptop ships with 24 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM across two 12 GB SO-DIMM slots, which gives it enough headroom for modern games alongside streaming or chat applications running in the background. Storage is a 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, which loads games and large files significantly faster than a traditional hard drive. There is no optical drive.

Connectivity and Ports

Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with a 2×2 antenna and Bluetooth 5.4. A Gigabit Ethernet port is included for a wired connection when you need the most stable possible latency. The port selection includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode, one HDMI 2.1 output, and a combo headphone and microphone jack. The USB-C port also supports USB Power Delivery for charging.

Keyboard, Audio, and Camera

The full-size keyboard includes a numeric pad and features 1-zone RGB backlighting, which you can customise through the OMEN Gaming Hub software. The touchpad supports up to four-finger gestures. Audio comes from HP Dual Speakers with HP Audio Boost amplification, paired with the DTS:X Ultra audio system for more spatial sound in games and films. Two built-in microphones handle voice chat. The front-facing webcam shoots at 720p HD with an 88-degree wide-angle field of view.

Battery and Charging

The 70 Wh lithium polymer battery powers the laptop, and HP Fast Charge can bring it from flat to 50% in approximately 30 minutes when the laptop is switched off. The 200 W AC adapter is included in the box, and the USB-C port supports charging for lighter workloads.

Software and Security

The laptop runs Windows 11 Home and comes with the OMEN Gaming Hub pre-installed, which gives you control over performance settings, thermals, and hardware monitoring from one place. HP Support Assistant and HP Connection Optimizer are also included. Security features include a Trusted Platform Module (firmware TPM), BIOS password protection, and power-on password protection.
