Power collected by the solar panel depends on the weather and available sunlight. If little energy is collected in a day, the battery level may go down. It can run for up to 3 months with no sunlight on battery.

The detection range is directly affected by the sensitivity setting. When using the default sensitivity level of 4, the triggering distance is 20 – 26 ft (6 – 8 m) during the day and 13 – 20 ft (4 – 6 m) meters at night.
