No Wires, No Fuss — Just a Tidy Lawn

Most robot mowers need you to bury boundary wires around your garden before they’ll work. The Dreame A2 skips all of that. Its OmniSense 2.0 system combines a 3D LiDAR sensor with an AI-powered 1080p HDR camera to scan your garden, detect where the grass ends, and set its own boundaries automatically. If your garden layout changes — a new raised bed, a shed, a trampoline — you can remap it through the app without any physical work.

OmniSense 2.0: Smart Navigation That Sees the Garden

The 3D LiDAR sensor has a 360° wide-angle view and detects objects up to 70 metres away with centimetre-level precision. The 1080p HDR camera adds visual intelligence, helping the mower identify actual objects rather than just detecting obstacles by proximity. Together, they build an immersive 3D map of your garden that you can explore in the app.

Obstacle avoidance is handled in real time, so garden furniture, children’s toys, and pets are spotted and navigated around before there’s any risk of contact.

Five Mowing Modes for Different Situations

The A2 gives you five mowing modes to suit different needs:

• All-Area — covers the entire mapped lawn
• Zone — focuses on specific sections you define
• Edge — runs along borders and boundaries
• Spot — targets a particular patch that needs extra attention
• Manual — lets you steer it directly via the app

In Standard Mode, it covers up to 1,000m² in 24 hours. Switch to Efficient Mode and that doubles to 2,000m² per day.

EdgeMaster Cutting System

The EdgeMaster system positions the cutting disc within 5cm of the lawn’s edge. That means borders, paths, and flower beds get a clean cut without leaving an untidy strip that needs hand-trimming afterwards. Cutting height is adjustable between 30mm and 70mm, and the cutting width is 22cm.

Smart Zone Management

Through the Dreame Home app, you can divide your garden into multiple mowing zones and assign different schedules or cutting heights to each. You can also mark no-go zones around areas you want left alone — a vegetable patch, a sandpit, or a decorative border. All of this is managed entirely in the app, with no physical markers needed.

Garden Guardian Security Features

When the A2 isn’t mowing, it can still be useful. The Garden Guardian mode uses the onboard camera for real-time video monitoring of your garden. You can set patrol routes for non-working hours, and the mower will send a notification if it detects human activity. Camera data is encrypted, and the mower emits an audible signal whenever the camera’s viewing mode is active.

Built for Irish Gardens

The A2 carries an IPX6 weather resistance rating, making it capable of handling rain without issue. It manages slopes up to 26.5°, which covers most residential gardens. The 5,000mAh lithium-ion battery powers the mower through its sessions, and it returns to the charging tower automatically when the battery runs low.
