The DJI Osmo Action 6 is DJI’s first action camera with a variable aperture (f/2.0–f/4.0), giving you real creative control over exposure rather than the fixed aperture you get on most action cameras. The all-new 1/1.1-inch square sensor supports up to 4K/120fps recording and handles both low light and high-contrast scenes with noticeably better detail.
It’s waterproof to 20 metres without a case, operates in temperatures as low as -20°C, and the 1950 mAh battery delivers up to 4 hours of recording. With 50GB of built-in storage, you can keep shooting even without a memory card to hand. The Standard Combo includes the camera, Extreme Battery Plus, quick-release mount, curved adhesive base, and USB-C cable.

More Details
DJI’s First Variable Aperture Action Camera
Most action cameras lock you into a single fixed aperture. The Osmo Action 6 changes that with a variable aperture ranging from f/2.0 to f/4.0. In low light, open it up to f/2.0 to let in more light and keep your footage bright and detailed. At night in a city, switch to the Starburst mode at f/4.0 to turn streetlights and signs into striking star-shaped bursts. Five aperture ranges are available in Auto mode, with f/2.0–f/4.0 set as the default.
All-New 1/1.1-Inch Square Sensor
The square CMOS sensor is a genuine step forward. It supports up to 4K/120fps in 4:3 aspect ratio and all the way up to 8K at 24/25/30fps in 16:9. The square format also enables the new 4K Custom mode, which lets you shoot first and crop later — whether you want 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for social media, or 4:3 for a more traditional look. You’re not locked into a framing decision before you press record.
Stabilisation That Handles the Rough Stuff
RockSteady 3.0 keeps handheld footage smooth during fast movement, while HorizonSteady goes further by keeping the horizon level even if the camera rotates — supporting video up to 4K/60fps. HorizonBalancing is also available for a more subtle correction. EIS works across all main shooting modes except Slow Motion and Timelapse.
Built for Water and Cold
The Osmo Action 6 is waterproof to 20 metres without any case and up to 60 metres with the optional Waterproof Case — both rated IP68. A built-in colour temperature sensor automatically adjusts white balance underwater so colours look natural rather than washed out in blue-green. The built-in water pressure gauge detects when you enter and exit the water, automatically starting and stopping recording and logging your dive depth and duration.
Cold weather is equally well covered. The camera operates reliably from -20°C to 45°C, making it a solid choice for skiing and snowboarding. The battery delivers up to 4 hours of recording in normal conditions.
Audio That Keeps Up
A three-microphone array with intelligent noise reduction handles wind effectively, keeping your voice clear during outdoor activities. The camera also supports the DJI OsmoAudio ecosystem, allowing direct connection to two DJI microphone transmitters simultaneously for stereo recording — no receiver unit required. Audio is recorded at 48 kHz 16-bit AAC.
Smart Shooting Features
Gesture Control lets you start or stop recording from a distance without touching the camera — useful when it’s mounted on a helmet or pole. Subject Tracking keeps a moving subject centred in the frame automatically during fast-paced activities. Pre-Recording buffers up to 5 minutes of footage before you press record, so you never miss the moment that happens just before you think to start filming.
Storage and Connectivity
The camera has 64GB of built-in storage, with 50GB available for use, which is enough for a full day of shooting without a memory card. A microSD slot accepts cards up to 1TB if you need more space. Wi-Fi 6.0 and Bluetooth 5.1 handle connectivity to the DJI Mimo app, and the USB-C port (USB 3.1) is included in the Standard Combo cable for fast data transfer and charging.

4K Custom mode uses the square sensor to record 3840 × 3840 footage at up to 60fps. Because the frame is square, you can crop it into any aspect ratio — 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, and others — in post-production, without committing to a framing decision before you shoot.
